Channing Tatum is taking on a whole new role that doesn't entail him flexing his chiseled physique.
The Magic Mike actor will play the role of Marvel Comic's character Gambit in an X-Men spinoff film, Deadline reports. Gambit, best known for his ability to mentally manipulate kinetic energy into whatever he decides, will come to life in the near future on the silver screen, and is set to be written by Robocop penman Josh Zetumer.
Comic book heads will have to hold on tight for further details, but you can still catch Tatum in his forthcoming movie Magic Mike XXL, in theaters July 5.

During a stop by "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" radio show Friday (Oct. 31), the "Shake It Off" singer showcased her best dance and lip-syncing skills as the track played.
On the subject of the I-G-G-Y, the 24-year-old said, "I just love her so much. She tweeted at me about my album and I couldn't breathe."
